Walking off the Path

This artwork is about the feeling you have when you want to wander away from the predictable and head out on your own, about having a sense of adventure and spontaneously create your own way. It came after a doctor once said to me that there is no one perfect treatment for everyone’s mental illness, and to keep trying different lifestyle, medication and therapy treatments to find what works for me. The direction of the light, the clear ground and the position of the trees and shrubs make the path inviting to the viewer. It almost begs to be explored.
