Symbolising the freedom of flight and the adventure of travel, this artwork was made to capture the many colours of the sun against the clouds – pinks to purples and the deep blues that showed signs of the city lights below. Oil paint was chosen to further show brighter colours and stronger strokes, adding energy to the painting.
Even more relevant during Covid19 times, the art shows the excitement and opportunity of something new. It asks the viewer what is beyond the horizon for them, and what do they look forward to? Keep hope, the horizon is still there, waiting.
